Notts Athletic Club held their annual 10 mile road race at the National Water Sports Centre yesterday evening. The event was sponsored by Plastics Plus and was blessed with a beautifully barmy summer’s evening. It was a strong field taking part and the men’s race was won by Toby Spencer, wearing number 355 and representing Coventry Godiva athletics club, in a time of 50:07, with the women’s race being won by number 339 Amy Whitehead of Notts AC in a time of 57:23. .

In first place in the women’s race was number 339 Amy Whitehead of Notts AC finishing strongly in a time of 57:23.

Elly Tarus of Salford Harriers finishes in style in a time of 54:20 to claim 8th spot.
Elly Tarus also won the Drew Smith Photography ‘Most Stylish Runner Award 2014’. If he contacts me I’ll reveal his award.
The eternally cheerful Katy Simpson representing Southwell RC crosses the finish line in 9th place in a time of 69:28.
