Digital manipulation gives you wings!   Leave a comment

Now, whilst not being a fan of wings stuck on the back of models or paper hats and glasses Photoshopped on to small fluffy dogs, the practice does teach you an awful lot about Photoshop.

The tools and techniques required to perform these transformations can also be used in the everyday post processing of your photographs. Photoshop is a bottomless pit of image manipulation tools and like any skill worth having it need constant practice and a dedication to regularly familiarising yourself with those tools and techniques.

It’s a bit like playing golf or squash just once a month and expecting to improve exponentially. You’ve got to stick at it, even when you want to throw your monitor through the window.
